Peep Research: Smoking & Alcohol

I was actually sent a link to the page about seperating the quintuplets, but afterwards, I went poking about the site, and this page about the effects of alcohol and cigerettes on Peeps is the one that really got me to laugh out loud. So I decided it was worth sharing here.

Enjoy

Geek Terror

This is pretty funny, and I'm tempted to make use of it, but I can't say my terror outlook would ever go above Dobby. So, it doesn't really suit me in particular.

Today's homework: Come up with icons for a 5 point system of the phases of your life.

Hmmm, I'll get back to you on that. I need time to chew on that and decide what is relevant to me as a framework, joy, socialness, stress... Choosing who are good icons for it come second.

Or, you could pick your favorite movies, and decide on your favorite characters, and see what they have in common. Lots of options.

Llama sounds

Just spent Thanksgiving weekend with friends who have llamas. I've never heard them make any noise, and it occurred to me to wonder what sorts of noises they make. Now that I'm home it's too late to ask them, but I have the internet. The page linked to here is just great, very funny to listen to these little snippets, completely out of context.

No more Hello Kitty vibrators?

And here I always thought that the Japanese were simply twisted enough to put Hello Kitty on a sex toy. Now I learn it was an accident. Or so they say. Honestly, did it not occur to anyone that this would happen?

And now, the mold has been destroyed and there will be no more of these made. I'm not sad, it always gave me a bit of a twitch. The problem is that now it will really be a cult item. A serious collectors item. Which means it gets even more twisted then it was before.

Whack It! (aka Smack the Pingu)

I find this in my bookmarks every once in awhile and waste half an hour playing. It's rather simply, and yet quite fun.

I especially like the little dance the penguin does when he's getting ready to jump.

Happy "Talk Like A Pirate Day"

Top Ten Pickup Lines for the Lady Pirates

10. What are YOU doing here?

9. Is that a belayin' pin in yer britches, or are ye ... (this one is never completed)

8. Come show me how ye bury yer treasure, lad!

7. So, tell me, why do they call ye, "Cap'n Feathersword?"

6. That's quite a cutlass ye got thar, what ye need is a good scabbard!

5. Aye, I guarantee ye, I've had a twenty percent decrease in me "lice ratio!"

4. I've crushed seventeen men's skulls between me thighs!

3. C'mon, lad, shiver me timbers!

2. RAMMING SPEED!

...and the number one Female Pirate Pick-up Line:

1. You. Pants Off. Now!

* * * * *

This copied from the official site (linked to above) where you can learn the basics for talking like a pirate. I like the silliness of it. And I laughed out loud when I go to that last one. I think you need to be the sauciest of wenches to use it. Have fun!

Twilight Zone: Planet of the Apes

Fascinating little thing Michael found recently.

"Planet of the Apes "re-imagined" as an episode of The Twilight Zone. Why? Both were written by Rod Serling!"

I didn't watch this myself, but I listened in while Michael watched it and it sounded great. He thought it was amazing.

Welcome to the Internet Helpdesk: Live Version

This is a video clip (QT) of a guy doing a stand-up comedy (on stage with a live audience) routine about working on an internet help desk.

Michael introduced me to this at least three, maybe four, years ago now. And it still makes me laugh my ass off. And somehow, I haven't posted this here before. So I need to, in order to easily find it and inflict it on new people in the future.

Daily Show clip - Bush: Because He Says So

Someone has posted this Daily Show clip online. It's disturbing and funny. But mostly disturbing, because of how true it is.

Squirrel Fishing!

This is just too, too funny. You have to go look. Some people have too much free time.

And now I really want to try this.

(Thank you Michael for sending this to me.)

The Infinite Cat Project

I actually laughed out loud at a few of these. My favorites so far are #20, #30, and #140 kind of looks like my kitty, Sylvani.

Tiny Sepuku: Living Fossils

Every so often I go and catch up on Tiny, and there is always at least one that makes me laugh out loud. Here it is: the Monogasaurus!

Rant about lusting after fictional characters

Hilarious.

Do you lust after any of the guys in LotR? This woman rips them all to shreds. She compares each of the main characters to various stereotypical bad lays.

How many of these are you personally familiar with?

Ikea the game (spoof)

This was blow milk funny. I hate shopping and I hate crowds, now I know how to make it through without losing my mind. Just imagine it's a game and giggle to yourself a lot as you go. People may think you're nuts for this, but really you are more sane for it in the end.

EGBG anti-telemarketing counterscript

This is so funny, and clever. I want to print and use it. It turns the tricks that telemarketers use on you around so that you can do it to them.

Tamagothi

Still funny after all these years. The problem is that they don't have a version that will run on my computer. Probably because it (the Tamagothi) was last updated in 1998. Oh well.

15 pieces of advice to be passed on...

I don't do chain letters, but if something really makes me laugh I'll post it here.

1. Don't imagine you can change a man - unless he's in diapers.
2. What do you do if your boyfriend walks out? You shut the door.
3. If they put a man on the moon - they should be able to put them all up there.
4. Never let your man's mind wander - it's too little to be out alone.
5. Go for the younger man. You might as well - they never mature anyway.
6. Men are all the same - they just have different faces, so that you can tell them apart.
7. Definition of a bachelor: a man who has missed the opportunity to make some woman miserable.
8. Women don't make fools of men - most of them are the do-it-yourself types.
9. Best way to get a man to do something is to suggest he is too old for it.
10. Love is blind, but marriage is a real eye-opener.
11. If you want a committed man, look in a mental hospital.
12. The children of Israel wandered around the desert for 40 years. Even in Biblical times, men wouldn't ask for directions.
13. If he asks what sort of books you're interested in, tell him checkbooks.
14. Remember a sense of humor does not mean that you tell him jokes, it means that you laugh at his.
15. Sadly, all men are created equal.

I don't normally do "male-bashing" and the reason this really made me laugh out loud is that it was sent to me by a man. Thank you Doug!

Tiny Sepuku 1/27/00

I love this comic strip. This one made me laugh out loud for several minutes. It consists of suggestions for what to do when being hit on by sleaze bags in dance clubs. I needed these a few years ago when I was going out a lot. *LOL*

Divine Interventions

This is the best laugh I've had in awhile. I find these sacrilegious sex toys very funny. (In case you haven't noticed, I have a twisted sense of humor.) Anyway, you start out seeing that Divine Interventions is the "home of the Baby Jesus butt plug" and it's all down hill from there. I laughed myself silly.

Things my girlfriend and I have argued about

(by Mil Millington) This web site is a bit unwieldy in that he posts new items at the bottom of one huge page and nothing is dated, but I think this is the funniest thing I've found on the web, and I keep going back to read the latest tidbits. If there isn't anything new I can alway get a good laugh from some of the older things on there. Oh, and he just published his first book based on TMGAIHAA.

The line I've quoted whenever telling someone new about this site: "Whether her cutting our son's hair comes under 'money-saving skill' or 'therapy in the making'."

Jake the Rake

"Possibly the Internet's only comic strip about Polyamorous Bisexuals!"

Good stuff. I don't laugh out loud at every strip, but he has a good back log and lots of them do make me laugh.

This is just great. An online storybook about the Plush Cthullu. It's like a kids book, but twisted. I love it.

The Big Geek Chart

I think that everybody I know will be able to recognize the people on this chart. This isn't a joke in the made up sense, it is funny because all these people exist. The Chart. I hope everyone gets a kick out of this.
